Let's have a great THYME! Calling all Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students! Do you wonder where food comes from when you don't buy it from the supermarket? Do you love to be outside in the sun and work with your hands? Join us in Junior Garden Club to explore how fruits and vegetables grow! This club will teach you how to plant and harvest your own yummy treats! A love for the outdoors, curiosity, and teamwork will be HARVESTED in this club!

ALOE, there! Welcome all 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students to our campus Garden Club! For the first time ever, we will be creating an edible wall garden! Have you ever eaten something that you have grown with your own two hands? Sign up and grow some yummy treats with us...we BE LEAF that you can! An awareness of the plant cycle, nutrients, and healthy eating habits will be developed.

Howdy! If you are a 3rd-5th grader who loves to build Legos, create your own buildings, or play games like Minecraft, this rodeo is for you! In our Engineering Rodeo, we will be learning and using the fundamental blocks of design, problem solving, coding, and teamwork. By creating our very own rockets, coding robot mice, 3D modeling, learning about VR game design, and practicing the basics of 3D printing, we will learn how to build all types of cool things! Join our E.D.G.E. Rodeo and come build your wildest dreams!

As educators we are often asked: How can we make sure our kids are prepared to meet 21st century challenges? Many parents look for the answers in the latest, high-tech programs and offerings. But there is a more fundamental part of your children’s everyday life that helps them make the right choices they need to be successful. It’s their daily habits. This spring, School Counselor Terri Portela will present a 10-week Leadership Club on Mondays afterschool for students in grades 3-5! This comprehensive leadership workshop based of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Kids, offers an interactive experience designed to specifically develop the leader inside every child.

Typing Club is an engaging and interactive program designed to introduce young students to essential keyboarding skills. Focused on fostering early proficiency in typing, the class incorporates age-appropriate games, colorful interfaces, and educational exercises that make learning to type a fun and rewarding experience. Through a combination of interactive lessons and creative activities, students develop their typing accuracy and speed while gaining a solid foundation in keyboarding techniques. The class not only equips them with a practical skill for the digital age but also promotes cognitive development and hand-eye coordination in an enjoyable learning environment.
Important: The same curriculum is utilized for Typing Club on both Tuesday and Thursday. We are offering two club days due to high demand and interest. Please sign up for only one option (either Tuesday or Thursday) to allow others to participate.

The Pinecrest Elementary Eco Ambassadors Club empowers young students to become stewards of the environment by fostering a love for nature, sustainability, and responsible citizenship. Students will participate in hands-on learning experiences about the environment, ecosystems, and conservation with an emphasis on the Everglades and Biscayne Bay. They will develop leadership skills and a sense of responsibility among students as they take on the role of environmental ambassadors in their school and community.

History club offers an interactive and comprehensive overview of American History. Students will learn about important events and people that helped establish and shape the United States and discover the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. Students will examine how the government works and the democratic principles on which our country was founded. Club members who wish to participate in the district’s annual History Bee and National History Bee will take a qualifying exam. Students with the highest scores will represent Pinecrest Elementary and showcase their knowledge in these competitions.
