PEP is our school's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Our goal is to raise funds to hire classroom aides (ACT ), support our school clubs (Robotics, Chorus, History & Geography), and address the students' needs.
Parent involvement throughout the school year is one of the key elements that make our school so great. The ACT Fund is one of the many areas where parents can directly help the students' learning experience. Please read below about what the ACT Fund is and how you can help.
The ACT fund is part of the Pinecrest Enrichment Programs Fund, Inc. which raises money to donate to Pinecrest Elementary School. The purpose of the ACT Fund is to provide funds for the hiring of classroom aides (ACT aides) to help in the classroom. ACT aides assist the teachers in many ways such as reinforcing the instruction taught in the classroom and providing additional attention and personalized instruction to students as needed.
The goal for 2020-2021 is to raise a minimum of $60,000 to hire at least 6 aides to assist all our Pinecrest Elementary teachers. The more funds we collect the more aides Pinecrest Elementary School can hire. The ACT aides primary duties will be to work directly with the students and the teachers.
We hope to reach 100% participation from Pinecrest Elementary families. We strongly encourage all Pinecrest Elementary Families to make a tax-deductible donation. The average donation we receive from most families is between $250 - $500; however, any amount is welcome and very much appreciated. No amount is too small or too large for us! Your tax-deductible contribution will provide a richer and more productive learning environment for all Pinecrest Elementary students. We also accept corporate donations. Many employers will match employee contributions, please check with your company to see if they have a corporate matching gift program.

*Please note, ACT aides will begin working this year upon the students’ return to the school building. We will need the ACT aides more than ever. They will assist us with supervision of the students and with delivery of lunches and delivery of other items to the classrooms. This will help reduce the number of persons in the hallways and will assist with social distancing.
Your contributions will enable us to meet our goal. We appreciate your donation!
